Always enjoyed showing to Joyce and chatting with her at The All American Quarter Horse Congress. Her and Charlie Walters is probably judging some fabulous horses in heaven

I was saddened to hear of Joyce's passing. Having shown under Joyce, when she was a QH judge, she was tough, but fair in her placings and I respected her for that. At many QH shows it was fun to visit with her and Okie and listen to there many stories of horses they had owned and shown. She will be sadly missed. Rest In Peace Joyce.

Joyce is very special friend in our hearts to always be remembered. Loved barrel events we attended. Okie and Joyce taught us a lot about horses. There was never a time, no matter how busy, she would stop to talk. Rest In Peace Friend

I was so sadden to hear this. I worked for Joyce and Okie back late 70's and early 80's. I learned so much from them that you can not learn in a book. From training, to breeding Oil Loot, a special individual himself, to showing at the local breed shows and Congress, back before Celeste arena was built and the big slide was in the parking lot. When Joyce broke her neck I was called to come back and help. Big shoes to fill in the show pen, with her help and show clothes we made it work and I earned my first AQHA point riding for them. I would run into her at the Congress when she was an equipment manger at the back gate and catch up on things. She was one prestigious lady in the industry and proud to have worked for her. I will sadly miss her. <3
