Olive Maxine Frye of Dallas W.V. passed away Thursday March 1st, 2018. She was born February 24, 1930 in Washington Co. The daughter of late James and Sylvia Riggle Armstrong. She was a graduate of West Alexander High School. Maxine and her husband Oakie were the owners and operators of Frye’s State Line Grocery Est. in 1964 until retirement in 1983.
Surviving family is daughter in-law Cora Sue Frye, sons Richard and wife Cheryl, Dennis, James and wife Becky and daughter Cindy Clutter. Also 21 grandchildren 46 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her sisters Mary and Margie and brother Leroy as well as her husband Oakie, and sons Dave, Gary, Roger and daughter in-law Susan Mary Frye and grandson James Frye.
Maxine was very devoted to her family and a friend to everyone she met. She loved her flowers especially irises, also gardening, canning, and the beauty of nature throughout the seasons. She has been a member of West Alexander American Legion Aux. Post 656 since 1962. Maxine also was a member of the Dallas Lions Club, enjoyed Bunco Club, and Dallas fish fry’s. She was loved and will be missed by all.

Friends received Monday March 5, 2018, 2-4 & 6-8 at Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services 219 Main Street Claysville Pa 15323 724-663-7373 www.youngfhinc.com. Funeral service Tuesday March 6 at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Interment at West Alexander Cemetery, with a luncheon to follow at the West Alexander Legion.
