Wilma “Jean” (Lohr) Moore died peacefully on March 25, 2018.
She was the last of her immediate family, born October 6, 1935 in West Finley, a daughter of George and Alice (King) Lohr.
Jean was a 1954 graduate of Claysville High school where she was much honored to have been, head majorette during her senior year.
On July 25, 1954 in Winchester Va., she married Arles Moore, who passed away December 28, 2009.
Jean was a member of the Claysville Christian Church where she sang in the choir for many years, taught Sunday school and volunteered at vacation bible school. She was a former Girl Scout leader, and enjoyed her years as a McGuffey band booster, when her daughters were in marching band.
She was a homemaker and later in life a personal caretaker.
Jean is survived by her daughter Brenda (David) McAdoo Sr., Son in law Nelson Downey of Claysville, Three grandsons, Nelson A. Downey Jr. (Angela) of Canonsburg, Michael A. Downey (Joyce) of Avella, and David Lee “DJ” McAdoo Jr (Belinda) of West Alexander, and one granddaughter Brittany Alizabeth McAdoo of New Martinsville WV. Seven great grandchildren Ciarra Rai McAdoo, Evelyn Jean McAdoo who was name after her and very much enjoyed babysitting. Addison Lynn Downey, Avery Quinn Downey, Paisley Debra Downey, Roman Michael Downey and Harper Marie Downey
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is her daughter Deborah Jean Downey, her brothers Rex, Glenn and Roy Lohr, and her sister Midge Richmond.

Funeral service Thursday March 29,2018 at 10 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at West Alexander Cemetery.
