Albert Shekerko, 77, of Hickory, PA, passed away on July 23, 2022. He was born on May 3, 1945, in Canonsburg PA, son of the late John and Christine Shekerko.
Albert worked at McGraw-Edison for 31 years until retirement. He also had his own trucking business, which he loved. Albert was always reading the newspaper, working on tractors, and working on something in the garage.
He was a loving grandfather, father figure, and fiancé of 43 years. He was so loved and will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters Anna Mae O’Donnell and Margaret Shekerko, brother Thomas Shekerko, and his twin grandchildren Jakob and Zoey Broutin.
He is survived by his fiance Diana Kotouch and her daughter April (Paul) Broutin, sister Nancy Nemeth, two brothers Bob (Caren) Shekerko, John (Linda) of Las Vegas, aunt Jean Macik, children Molly (Shekerko) McKee, Albert (Bo) Shekerko, and Mike Shekerko, five grandchildren John, Tommy, and Jesse McKee, Cash Shekerko, and Brady Broutin, and several great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received from 2 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown, PA 15021 (724) 947-2049 www.youngfhinc.com. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Mt. Prospect Cemetery.
