Barbara Jean Richey

Barbara Jean Richey, 81, of Claysville, PA passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023.

She was born on November 15, 1941, the daughter of the late Boyd F. Folkens and Elizabeth Carlise Folkens.

On September 23, 1960, she married the love of her life William W. Richey. 

Barbara was a homemaker in life but she enjoyed volunteering at Washington and Wheeling Hospital and was also a member of the Ladies Auxillary at the Claysville American Legion and Claysville Fire Department.

She was a kind, caring, and loving mother and friend. She loved to square-dance, go camping, and travel especially to the Amish Country.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Tom Folkens.

She is survived by her husband William W. Richey, sons Boyd Richey, Bryan Richey, and Barry (Barb) Richey, grandchildren Jennifer and Stephen, and her dog Max.
