Betty J. Frye Horr

Betty J. Frye Horr of West Union, OH, previously of Claysville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, in West Union, OH.

She was born on January 22, 1930, in Eighty Four, PA, the daughter of the late Blair Pettit and Elsie M. Toland-McKahan.

On August 9, 1949, she married Robert L. Frye, who died on May 30, 1996.

On November 2, 2011, she married Harold L. Horr, who died on July 23, 2019.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she is preceded in death by brothers Blair Pettit Jr., John Pettit, Donald Pettit, and George Pettit, sisters Sarah Douglas, Beulah Antal, and Flora Hice, a grandson David Frye, and a great-grandson Aaron Poole.

She is survived by her sons Melvin (Ruth) Frye of Claysville, PA, Ronald (Jill) Frye of Idaho, and Wayne (Joan) Frye of Washington, PA, two daughters Donna McKean, of West Union, OH, and Roberta of Claysville, PA, eight grandchildren Jennifer, Andy, Greg, Bob, Lisa, Brandy, Emma, Amber, and Dylan, 22 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren 

Betty was the last of her immediate family.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, April 17, 2023, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm at Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 219 Main Street, Claysville, PA 15323.
