Carl F. Zibritosky, of Joffre, PA, passed away at TownView Health & Rehabilitation Center in Canonsburg, PA on July 13, 2025. He was born on November 11, 1949, the beloved son of the late Paul M. and Sally Zibritosky.
A graduate of Burgettstown Area High School and Point Park College, Carl dedicated his career to the CDC as an IT Specialist in South Park, PA, retiring in 2012. He also honorably served in the U.S. Army.
Carl was a man of many passions. He enjoyed walking, gardening, and traveling, and found great joy in helping on the family farm. A devoted member of his church, he previously served as a council member at both St. Ann’s and Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a stillborn brother, George.
Left to cherish his memory are his brothers Paul (JoAnn) Zibritosky, Mark Zibritosky, and Frank Zibritosky; his sister Joan (Mark) McCartney; his nephews Mark McCartney of Austin, TX, and Paul (Christa) McCartney of Fox Chapel, PA; and great-nephew Mason J. McCartney.
Friends and family will be received from 1 pm to 5 pm on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown, PA, 15021. 724-947-2049 www.youngfhinc.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic- St. Isidore the Farmer Church, 967 Grant St, Bulger, PA 15019, on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Slovan Volunteer Fire Department, 1969 Smith Township Road, Burgettstown, PA 15078, and the Washington County Humane Society, 1527 PA-136 Eighty Four, PA 15330.
