Clyde Kenneth Wright, 79, in typical Ken fashion, used up all the life God have given him and closed his steel blue eyes peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
He was born on October 19, 1945 in Wheeling, WV, the only son to the late Clyde Wright and Dorothy (Byers) Wright. He was preceded in death by his belove wife, Sherry (Barrick) Wright along with his five sisters and their spouses, as well as a sister, Dorothy Mae and cousin Carl and Jenny Bowman. His is survived by his two loving daughters, Lisa Deehan and Teresa Terrian. His three grandchildren, Baillie, Dylan, and Carson Terrian as well as many nieces and nephews. Ken had many titles, dad, pappap, husband, uncle, brother, son, and friend. He filled his “dash” by meeting people where they were at. He filled any time you were lucky enough to have with his boisterous laughter, twinkling eyes, stories from the road, corny jokes and salt of the earth wisdom in a way that was distinctly his.
He had many interests in his 79 years. From drag racing his Mustang to pulling his Farmall tractors. He was a graduate of McGuffey High School Class of 1963.
He worked hard and played harder. Thousand of miles and meeting people all over the country was not lost on him. A life long learner, he was a patient teacher for almost anything that troubled you. From a mechanical problem to directions to the nearest exit, he was never more that a phone call away. He was not a complicated man… Loved his family and believed that each person hold intrinsic value and was worth his time. He believed that that if you are going to do something, do your best and see it through. He instilled this belief in his girls and all those he loved. He was never a quitter, he didn’t quit on life he slid sideways into heaven. His race was run, his battle won. He is home with his bellowed Sherry and all his family.
