Dolores A. Kovach, 93, of Atlasburg, PA, passed away on April 1, 2025, at Serra Manor Assisted Living in Weirton, WV. She was born on May 18, 1931, in Cherry Valley, PA, to Fred and Thelma (McConnell) Tustin.
Dolores was a graduate of Union High School, Class of 1949.
On September 10, 1949, Dolores married William Kovach. She dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker and also worked as a deli manager at Petrucci’s Shop n Save in Burgettstown before retiring in 1990.
Dolores was an active member of the Atlasburg Church of the Nazarene, serving as church secretary and Missionary President. She loved to travel, visiting places such as the Holy Land, Alaska, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. She had a passion for cooking and baking, especially for hosting family dinners where her specialties included nut rolls and lasagna. Above all, she loved the Lord, always put others first, and adored her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Harry and Hugh, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Dolores is survived by her loving husband of 75 years William Kovach; children: Sondra (Gail) Herron of Clearwater, FL; William Jr. (Patti) Kovach of Washington, PA; and Richard (Cathy) Kovach of Joffre, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Eric (Rachel) Kovach, Brian (Alicia) Herron, Kristy (Mike) Stankovich, and Kelly (Cole) Brantley, as well as seven great-grandchildren: Eric, Aven, Ivor, Claire, Wesley, Hazel, and Heath.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown, PA 15021. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 11 a.m., officiated by Pastors Angela McAfee-Kress and Doug Keith.
Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Florence, PA.

Dolores will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
