Dominick Trimarki Obituary

Dominick “Mickey” Trimarki, 90, of Burgettstown, PA, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, in Washington Hospital after a short illness.

He was born in Slovan, PA, on February 21, 1936, the son of the late Carmelo and Antoinette Trimarchi.  Mickey was a 1954 graduate of Burgettstown Union High School, where he excelled in football and other sports.  He received multiple scholarship offers for football and ultimately chose to play quarterback at West Virginia University, where he became the team’s starter for 2 ½ years.  After his senior year, he was selected to the East-West Shrine Game in San Francisco, where he was also the starting quarterback.  He was then drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL but chose to play in the Canadian Football League for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.   In 1994, Mickey was selected to the Washington Greene County Hall of Fame for his accomplishments on the football field.  He also served 6 years in the United States Air Force Reserve.

On November 25, 1960, he married the love of his life, Donna Galloway of McDonald, PA, with whom he spent 57 happy years until her passing in 2017.

Mickey worked as a claims adjuster for Nationwide Insurance from 1960 until his retirement in 1994. He spent many happy days doing what he loved, which was gardening, cooking, reading, watching his favorite teams, the Steelers and Penguins, and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his son, Tim, of Imperial, PA; his brother-in-law, Duane Galloway, of McDonald, PA; several nieces and nephews; and cousins.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mickey is preceded in death by his son  Michael (Mickey), a sister, Marie Pliska, and a brother, Jimmy Trimarki.

Per the deceased's request, there will be no public visitation or other services.
