Donald H. Richey
November 18, 1948 – June 2, 2022
Don rode into the sunset on June 2, 2022.
He is survived by sisters Louise Roberts, Betty Jo Lucas, and Ruby Hicks (L. Courtney), and one brother James L. Richey. Niece Tracy Lucas, Nephews Christopher and Todd Hicks (Denise), great-nephews Cooper, Conor, and Walker Hicks, and step nieces and nephews Crystal Miller, Denise Ullom, Pamela Roberts, and Edward Roberts.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Harold S. and Helen Frye Richey and brother, Wade.
Don’s life was enriched by his relationships with the Fields and Zajac families, enjoying many delicious meals and family celebrations with them.
Don graduated from McGuffey High School and airline technical school. He spent his work career in the Airline industry in Hartford, Connecticut, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Following his retirement, Don lived with his sister, Louise Roberts in West Alexander. Louise provided exceptional care for him during his extended cancer illness.
He was an avid Harley Davidson collector, the motorized version, clothing, and collectibles. He developed many friendships riding for pleasure and during motorcycle runs for charitable events. He was greatly distressed when a deer encounter damaged his Limited edition 1977 Harley motorcycle.
