Doris E. Perry

Doris Elizabeth Perry, 66, of Claysville, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, in her home. She was born on August 29, 1958, the daughter of the late Jack Perry and Lorena Perry, who survives.

Doris graduated from McGuffey High School in 1976 and later attended West Virginia Northern Community College to pursue a degree in Business. 

After graduating, Doris worked at the Coin & Hobby Shop in Wheeling for many years before retiring. 

She was a lifetime member of the West Virginia Northern Community College Alumni Association, a member of the Claysville American Legion Post 639 Ladies Auxiliary, and a longtime member of the Claysville United Methodist Church. 

Doris enjoyed knitting, always making blankets, clothing, and costumes for her great nieces and family. 

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a sister, Diane E. Perry Ridgely. 

She is survived by her brother John L. Perry, III (Cathy), sister Debbie Galaski (Chester), nephews J.P. Perry (Terri) and Michael Perry (Natalie), nieces Addie Gossen (Logan) and Dia Ridgley, and great nieces and nephews Jack, Abigail, Nora, Michael, Natalie, Savannah, Scarlett, Gwendolyn, and Markus. 

There will be a celebration of life for Doris held at a later date.
