Edward Joseph (“Eddie Joe”) Lukon

Age 74, of Burgettstown, passed away on November 22, 2022, at St. Clair Hospital. Born in Los Angeles, CA on July 10, 1948, to the late Edward P. and Mary (Goldbach) Lukon. Beloved husband to Candita “Candy” (Monaco) Lukon for almost 52 years, loving father to Shelly (Timothy) Fitzgerald, Abbie Jemmott, and JoElla (Jeffrey) Budzik, and grandfather to Jakob and Jakson Budzik, Joshua “JP” Jemmott, and Lindsey, Hannah and Erin Fitzgerald. Loving brother to Janet Lukon Marshall and Phillip (Becky) Lukon, and beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Eddie Joe graduated from Madonna High School in Weirton in 1966, served in the US Army in Vietnam as a cook, married Candy in January of 1971, and ran Lukon Meats for decades with his father and brother. He and Candy made their home in Cherry Valley near Burgettstown. He was strong, kind, fair, and hardworking, raising livestock on the family farm and putting up hay from neighboring fields. He enjoyed restoring antique cars, listening to oldies, and spending quality time with family.

Eddie Joe is loved and dearly missed by all who knew him. He will be forever remembered for his easygoing personality, culinary skills (especially his sauces and seasoning blends) and ability to fix anything. All expressions of sympathy, including flowers, honorary donations to a favorite charity, and cards are welcome.
