Edward C. Schell

Edward C. Schell, 81, of West Alexander, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, with his family by his side.

He was born on October 3, 1941, the son of the late Edwin and Tressa Schell.

On May 30, 1970, he married his best friend and true love Rachel Schell. They spent 53 amazing years together.

After 38 years of being a truck driver, Edward retired from Consolidated Freightways. In his downtime, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boating, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a jack of all trades and will truly be missed by all who knew him. 

In addition to his parents, Edward is preceded in death by his sister Dorthy Ralicki.

He is survived by his wife Rachel, sons Edward and Edwin (Melissa), daughters Pat and Rae, grandchildren Amanda (Justin), Bethann (Tyler), Aaliyah, Stevie, and Aidan, great-grandchildren Peyton, Aubree, Lincoln, and Nathan, and sister Ruth Reiner.

Friends and family will be received from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the First Christian Church of West Alexander 124 Main Street, West Alexander, PA 15376. A funeral Service will be held at 10 am on Friday, September 22, 2023, at the church. Interment to follow at West Alexander Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the First Christian Church of West Alexander.
