Frances A. Vega

Frances A. Vega, 87, of Langeloth, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025. 

She was born on February 23, 1937, in Slovan, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Vega.

Frances had such a caring heart, for many years she was her own parent's caretaker. 

She adored children and animals, she was known as the neighborhood babysitter and petsitter.

Frances was a lifelong member of the Langeloth Community Church and was on the committee for the Langeloth Community Center. 

In her downtime, Frances enjoyed watching the Golden Girls and Cowboy Westerns. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters Ramona Cunningham and Delores Combs, a stepsister Virginia Muntean, brothers Gerald and Ronald Vega, brother-in-law Delbert Combs, sister-in-law Janet Vega, and her dogs Remi, Ruby, and Zoey.

She is survived by her sister Judy Schulte (Roy); several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. 

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 3 PM to 7 PM at Young Funeral Home & cremation Services, Inc. 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown, PA, 15021. 724-947-2049 www.youngfhinc.com A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Mt. Prospect Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice, Frances’ nurse Jennifer, her aide Heather, and her hospice Chaplain Justin for taking such good care of her during her time with them.
