George Andrew Tkalcevic, 91, of Slovan, PA, passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2026.
He was born on May 22, 1934, in Hanlin Station, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Tom and Katie Tkalcevic.
George was a proud graduate of Hickory High School, class of 1953. He honorably served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959. Following his service, he worked for 25 years at J&L Steel. In addition to his career, George enjoyed farming and gardening, he found joy in working the land.
In 1961, he married his beloved wife, Juliette Guiddy.
George will be remembered most as a devoted husband, father, and provider. His strength, work ethic, and care for his family were evident in all that he did.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Joe, Steve, Tom, and Nick Tkalcevic, and his sister, Mary.
He is survived by his loving wife, Juliette; sons, George (Lois Griffith), Timothy (Sharlo Bongiorni), and Terry; grandchildren, Haley, Carson, Chastity, Erika, and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Avery, Hailynn, Zayden, Xander, Gunnar, and Liara; brothers, John and Michael, and many nieces and nephews.
