James Benjamin Kreig

James Benjamin Kreig, 86, of Avella, PA passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, with his loving family by his side. 

He was born on December 11, 1938, in Avella, PA, the son of the late James and Lucy Kreig. James graduated from Avella High School. 

On July 18, 1964 he married his true love and best friend Martha Barish. They spent 60 loving years together before her passing on August 26, 2024. 

James enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. He was a longtime member of the Richard Vaux Masons Lodge and the Polar Star in Avella. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife. 

Surviving are his two daughters Renea and Brenda Kreig, and four grandchildren Shailar, Shawn, Haley, and Carson. 

At the request of the deceased, all services will be private.
