James Morgan Obituary

James E. Morgan
September 20, 1961 – October 18, 2024

James E. Morgan, 63, of Claysville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, October 18, 2024.  Born on September 20, 1961, James was the devoted husband of Sheri (Bernarding) and a proud father to Joshua Morgan, Christopher (Shelby) Morgan, Matthew (Krystle) Morgan, Leeana (Harry) Hergenreder, and Katie (Josh) Tonecha. He was the cherished "Pap" and "Pap Jim" to his beloved grandchildren Isaac, Elijah, Adeline, Dawson, Peyton, Alina, Aiden, Ava, Luna, Jordan, Kenzie, Keely, and Kaycee.

James dedicated his life to serving others, first as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps medically discharged as a Corporal, then as a maintenance manager for apartments until going back to school, earning his associate’s degree to become a Respiratory Therapist (retired), where he made a lasting impact on many lives. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for hunting, his deep appreciation for nature, and camping. James also found joy in traveling to attend live concerts and, above all, spending quality time with his grandchildren and family, who were the center of his world.

He is also survived by his sister, Jeanne, and his brothers, Joseph and Jeffery. James will be remembered for his silly humor, dedication, and the love he showed to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He will rest in peace at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In place of flowers, donations can be made to Farm Aid or Wounded Heroes in James' honor.

The family of James would like to invite family and friends to a Memorial Wake at Claysville Firehall 154 Main Street, Claysville PA 15323 on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 2 pm to 5 pm.
