James L. Richey
February 6, 1952 – April 24, 2025

He is survived by his sisters, Louise Roberts, Betty Jo Lucas, and Ruby Hicks (L. Courtney); his niece, Tracy Lucas; nephews, Christopher and Todd Hicks (Denise); great-nephews, Cooper, Conor, and Walker Hicks, and step nieces and nephews Crystal Miller, Denise Ullom, Pamela Roberts, and Edward Roberts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold S. and Helen Frye Richey, and his brothers, Wade and Donald.

Jim graduated from McGuffey High School. 

He was an enthusiastic Pittsburgh Steelers fan evidenced by the décor on his apartment door and his attire during the football season.  He was a member of the apartment group that put jigsaw puzzles together in the activity room, he preserved and framed several puzzles and displayed them in his apartment.  “Dog” as his friends called him was an avid outdoorsman enjoying time hunting, fishing, and being with friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the West Alexander American Legion Post 656 on June 14, 2025 at 12 PM.  8 Main Street, West Alexander, PA 15376.  Please contact the family for further details
