Janet Markley Jobes, 83, of Claysville, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2025. She will be remembered as a truly kind-hearted woman whose greatest job and accomplishment in life was her family.
Janet was born on February 18, 1943, the daughter of the late Rev. Arthur and Caroline Markley. She graduated from McGuffey High School in 1961 and later from PennCommercial in 1963, where she was May Queen. She was employed with Finder and Wiener Law Firms until her retirement.
In 1965, she married her high school sweetheart, Willard Jobes. They recently celebrated their 60th anniversary.
Janet was a member of the Claysville United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her three brothers, James, Donald, and David Markley.
She is survived by her husband, Willard; two sons, Shane of Claysville, PA, and Kirk (Jackie) of Reno, Nevada; grandchildren, Katelyn (Tristan), Colton (Sadie), Kyle (Adrienne), Savana (Travis), and Ethan; and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Dax, and Elliot.
