Julia A. Modic, 94, of McMurray, formerly of Burgettstown, died Thursday, December 6, 2018, in Washington Hospital.
She was born June 19, 1924, in Atlasburg, a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Ondejko Bibo.
She was a 1941 graduate of Burgettstown Union High School. She married to Lewis Modic on June 30, 1951. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a parts clerk at Dellaria Lincoln-Mercury, Burgettstown. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America and Christian Mothers. She was an auxiliary member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6553 in Slovan, as well as a member of Burgettstown Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her children Lewis J. (Mary) Modic and Rita (Dr. Mark) Mamros; sister Betty Smutny; grandchildren Amanda Leister, Rita (Brandon) Owen, Lewis A. (Tiffany) Modic, Rachel, Joseph and Robert Modic, Matthew and Elizabeth Mamros; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Andrew Mamros; brothers John Bebo and Andrew Bibo; sister Helen Taylor; and twin sister Ann Bibo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 11, in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, with internment in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
