Kurtis P. Cox, of Claysville, PA, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 24, 2021, in his home. He was 65, born on March 11, 1956, in Washington, PA.
He attended Washington high-school. Kurt had owned multiple businesses in his lifetime but his most recent business, Cox signs, was his most cherished, and also dedicated himself to his old cars and family. A unique soul, Kurt was very loving, caring, talented, creative, funny, and enjoyed helping his family and friends. Kurt will be greatly missed.
Kurt is survived by his previous wives Debora Clutter Cox and Sharon Pridgen, his sons, Justin Cox (Jenna) and Steve Stimpson (Crystal), and grandchildren, Sydney and Jay Cox, Dax and Hunter Stimpson, Shelby Opic, Owen, and Madeline Lamay.
A private viewing will be held December 29, 2021, from 3-5 pm at Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 219 Main Street Claysville, PA 15323 (724) 663-7373 www.youngfhinc.com. A memorial service cruise will be organized by Justin Cox at a later date and will be held at the first Claysville Rodders car cruise in the spring of 2022. Memorial donations may be made to his son Justin Cox. At the request of the family, they ask no flowers to be sent.
