Lee Roy Kinty, 87, of Slovan, PA, passed away on July 22, 2025. He was born just after midnight on New Year’s Day in 1938, Lee was Weirton Hospital's first baby of the new year.
In 1956, he graduated from Weirton High School, he went on to serve his country in the Naval Reserve and later dedicated over 40 years of his career to Weirton Steel, where he retired.
Lee was a passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and watching the local draft hockey league at Printscape Arena, where he was fondly known as “the best fan in the league.” He also enjoyed golfing and shooting pool.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammi Kinty; his son, Lee “Captain” Kinty; and his granddaughter, Jennifer (Kinty) Walters (Adam). He will be deeply missed by his cat, Rusty, who never left his side.
