Linda Mae (Nee) Kramer, 71, of Kramer Road, Bavington, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, May 13, 2021.
She was born in Washington on May 14, 1949, daughter of the late George (Buck) Heaps Kramer and Ruth (Cave) Kramer.
Linda graduated from Union High School in 1967 and obtained her degree in Elementary Education from Point Park College and her master’s degree from Duquesne University. She began her teaching career at Hanover School in Burgettstown Area School District in 1971. She retired in 2005 after serving the district for 34 years. She was active in school coaching girls cheerleading, volleyball, and basketball.
When her health allowed, she enjoyed her golf leagues, bowling leagues, card clubs, baking, crafting, and volunteering her time at the Senior Citizen Center organizing weekly bingo and delivering meals on wheels. She especially loved the many road trips she took with her fellow teachers, eating out and taking her nephew and niece on vacation, and teaching them how to bowl, golf, and swim.
Left to cherish her memory are, brother Ronald (Donna) Kramer of Bavington, her beloved nephew and niece, Brian George Kramer of Bridgeville, and Nicole Lin (Timothy) Miller of Bulger, and the light of her life her great-nephew Weston James Miller. She also leaves behind a host of cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
The family would like to thank the staff of Davita Dialysis/Paris for their support, love, and compassion they extended to her. Linda loved all of you.
