Martha Elaine (Dorsey) Ealy

Martha Elaine Dorsey Ealy, 78, of Claysville, PA, passed away peacefully at home on May 23, 2025, with her loving family surrounding her.

She was born on February 11, 1947, in East Finley Township, a daughter of the late Carl Gaylord and Helen Dorsey. Martha was a proud graduate of McGuffey High School, Class of 1965.

On September 14, 1968, she married Francis Leo Ealy, with whom she shared many wonderful years. A devoted homemaker all her life, Martha found great joy in caring for her family and home.

She was a longtime member of Fairmount United Methodist Church, she was also active in the Ladies Aid and Homemakers groups. Martha had a deep love for flowers, gardening, baking, sewing, quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards and cheering on the Pittsburgh Pirates. She was also a proud champion horseshoe pitcher.

Surviving are her husband, Francis Ealy; three children: Michael Ealy, Gary Ealy, and Melinda Ealy; beloved grandchildren: Cadene Ealy, Mickey, Brea, & Cody Harris, and Devin Ealy; and a brother, Edward Dorsey (Sandy).

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Fairmount United Methodist Church with Pastor Scott Lawrence officiating.
