Marvin Lee Darnell, 77, of Claysville, PA, passed away on May 11, 2025, after a lengthy illness.
He was born on April 2, 1948, in Confluence, PA, a son of the late Elmer and Opal (Smith) Darnell. Marvin proudly served in the U.S. military as a Vietnam veteran and later worked as a garage mechanic for Penske Truck Leasing, retiring on January 2, 2011.
On May 14, 1970, he married the love of his life, the late Joyce Ann Fordyce. Marvin was a devoted husband and father, known for his generous heart and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved spending time with family, working on cars, and attending classic car shows.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Ross, Judy Shults, and Corlean June Ross; and his brother, Dickey Darnell.
Surviving are his daughters, Darla (David) McBride, and Renee Darnell (Don Kunz); grandchildren, Mara (Bryan) Marcucci, Greg McBride (Anna Ferraro), and Devon Darnell; siblings, Geraldine (Ray) Alford, of East Liverpool, and Frank (Carrie) Darnell of Newell; and several nieces and nephews. He is also remembered by his dear friend, Reckless.
