Mary Alice Amos, 87, of West Alexander, PA, passed away after a long illness on Monday, September 23, 2024.
She was born on January 27, 1937, in Triadelphia, WV, the daughter of the late Alice (Bert) Pethtel and Russell Pethtel.
Mary was a graduate of West Alexander, class of 1954.
On March 30, 1957, she married her true love and best friend Lloyd Amos. She devoted her life to her family as a loving homemaker.
Mary was a loving mother and grandmother, treasuring time spent with her family. She also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates.
She was a member of the West Alexander Methodist Church, West Alexander American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 656, Tri-County Golden Agers, and two card clubs.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, and one grandchild.
She is survived by her daughter, Billie Sue Amos of St. Clairsville, OH; son, Lloyd R. (L.R.) Amos II (Teri) of Claysville, PA; grandson, Austin Michael Amos of Bridgeport, WV; and several in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
At the request of the family, all services and interment will be private.
