Michael H. Farrell Jr.

Michael (Mike)  H. Farrell Jr. of Burgettstown, PA passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the age of 30. Following an incredibly heroic three-year battle with Leukemia. 

Mike was born on June 10, 1992, in Pittsburgh, PA. Son of Michael Farrell Sr and Wendy (Briggs) Farrell.

Devoted husband to Brittany (Reed) Farrell and loving father to Michael and Grant with whom he loved more than life itself.

Mike fought bravely and fiercely to the very end for his family especially his wife and two boys. Mike cherished the time he spent with his family. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, golfing, and riding ATVs. He was an avid outdoorsman. You could always find Mike's loyal companion, Diesel at his side. Diesel was not only a dog but like a son. 

Mike was a graduate of Burgettstown high school after graduation Mike attended Rosedale Technical institute. Mike was employed by Alex E. Paris Contracting for several years as a diesel mechanic. Mike gets his love of working on vehicles and a variety of things from his father. He loved his work and his co-workers who are like family.

Everyone who knew Mike knew he had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand. He will be especially missed by his surviving family. In addition to his parents, wife, and children. Maternal grandfather Harry Briggs, Grand Parents Carol and Hub Reed, Siblings: Bethany (Brian) Sprowls, Britney (Brian) Griffith, Sister in laws Abby and Mackenzie Angus a Mother in law Tami Reed and fiancé Rex Lombard. He is also survived by Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces, and a Nephew.

Mike is preceded in death by his Maternal grandmother Marion Briggs and Paternal grandparents William and Patricia Farrell.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 11 am at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, a donation of checks/cash can be made payable to his wife Brittany Farrell to go towards a trust account for Michael and Grant.
