Michael Ray Huffman, 71, of Claysville, PA, passed away peacefully at home on May 6, 2023, after a 10-month complication from COVID-19.
He was born on June 1, 1951, in Washington, PA, the son of Naomi Huffman of Woodland Park Colorado, and the late Joseph Huffman.
He is a 1969 graduate of Washington High School and obtained his Associate's Degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1971.
In 1983, Michael met the love of his life, Kimberly (Main) Huffman, in Colorado Springs. They later married on September 9, 1984, in Water Mountain Falls, Colorado.
In 1975 he started his lifelong career as a flooring installer. Upon retirement, he worked part-time at Lowes.
Michael was an avid fisherman and Steelers fan. In his quiet time, he enjoyed reading western and mystery novels. His greatest passion had always been spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Michael was a gentle, kind man that was loved by many and was consistently reliable to those close to him. He had a talent for art and considered flooring installation as a way to express his art in his career. His relationship with God was intimate and important to him. He often would speak with God and follow his direction.
In addition to his father Joseph Huffman, he is preceded in death by Daughter Holly Reed, and brother-in-law Gerald Main Jr. (Pudge)
He is survived by, his loving wife Kimberly Huffman, son Liberty (Billi) Huffman, daughter Melanie Hofmann, grandchildren Brian Earley of North Carolina, Kendrik (Marissa) Reed of West Alexander, Damon (Dale) Reed-Hood of Virginia, Jacob (Kaitlyn) Huffman of Washington, Gabriel Huffman of Claysville, Joslynn Huffman of Claysville, and Evan McCartney of Claysville, great-granddaughters Malyah and MaeRose Reed, mother Naomi Huffman and Sister Vicki (Dave) Foster of Colorado, his loving in-laws Gerald and Laura Main of Claysville, sister-in-laws and brother in-laws Drena (Dave) Nicolella, Kash (Edda) Main, Stacy (David) North, and many nieces and nephews.
