Mildred (Millie) Drazick 98, of Slovan PA, passed away on December 28, 2020, in Washington PA. Millie was born on July 30, 1922, in Mingo Junction OH. She was the 2nd of nine children, daughter of Mike and Mildred Veselica. On June 29, 1943, Mildred married George Drazick of Slovan PA, whom she was married to for 59 years. Together they had four children Deanna (Kenny) Mooneyham of Langeloth PA, George (Cyndi) Drazick of Burgettstown PA, Mara Schilinski of Slovan PA, and Traci (Bob) Sullivan of Burgettstown PA. Millie tendered bar and ran the Burgettstown American Legion Post 698 for 25 years. She was a proud lifelong member of the Slovan VFW post 6553 ladies auxiliary where she loved attending monthly meetings and always reminded everyone that the auxiliary color was blue. Millie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, always going the extra mile to make sure everyone was taken care of, flower and vegetable gardening, and canning vegetables. She especially loved the flag and military, and her favorite holiday was memorial day, she was a true patriotic woman. Millie is survived by 13 grandchildren, David Skiles, Damon Skiles, George Drazick Jr., Melissa Podaras, Liz Spotti, Luke Schilinski, Rachel Kovach, Sally Mullins, Zach Schilinski, David McClure, Erik McClure, Kristen Pcsolar, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Millie is preceded in death by her siblings Mike Veselica, George Veselica, Rodney Veselica who followed her in death on December 29, 2020, Sarah Chlomoudis, and Mary Miller, and one grandson John Joseph (JJ) Schilinski. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Slovan Post 6553 or Slovan Fire Department. Visitation will be held in the privacy of the family.
