Nancy L. (Verner) Stollar, 84, of Washington, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Presbyterian SeniorCare-Southmont with her loving family surrounding her.
Born November 1, 1941, in Washington, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Florence Verner.
Nancy was a graduate of Trinity High School.
On December 23, 1960, she married William “Bill” Stollar, and they shared nearly 65 loving years of marriage.
Nancy worked for Trinity High School, the Credit Bureau, and later at Washington Hospital, dedicating her skills as a secretary throughout her career. She took pride in helping others wherever she could.
A talented crafter and baker, Nancy was well-known for her cookies; her family and friends eagerly looked forward to having them each holiday season. Christmas was her favorite time of year; she especially loved the games and activities, earning her title of the family’s “Christmas game master.”
Above all, Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her kindness and unwavering love will be forever missed.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Stollar; her children, Gary Stollar (Denise), Jodi Williams (Dave), and Mark Stollar; four grandchildren, Kaleena (Jeremy), Josh (Katie), Hunter, and Madison; two great-grandchildren, Luke and Anna; a sister, Bet Baldwin (John); and a brother, Dave Verner (Cheryl).
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Bob Verner and Jim, and her sisters, Dot Wootton and Shirley Wadsworth.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 1 pm to 3 pm and 5 pm to 7 pm at Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 219 Main Street, Claysville, PA 15323.
