Nick Tkalcevic 94, of Burgettstown, PA, passed away on February 21, 2025. He was born on November 23, 1930, in Hanlin Station, PA, the son of the late Thomas and Katie Silaj Tkalcevic.
On March 6, 1957 he married Elsie Geiger.
Nick served in the Korean War as a Marksman sharpshooter, earning a Good Conduct Medal. After being Honorably Discharged from the Army, he worked for J&L Steel as a certified inspection mechanic, he could fix any and all machinery. He later retired in 1985 and during his retirement, he worked as a sheep farmer on his farm.
Nick was a member of Victory Life Church in Burgetttsown, PA. He loved to garden, and tend to his sheep. He loved his dogs and was a proud grandfather of TJ and Taylore. He was a strong, courageous, determined, and animal-loving, father, grandfather, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his wife Elsie Tkalcevic, son Nick Tkalcevic, a sister Mary Tkalcevic, and brothers Joe, Steve, and Tom Tkalcevic.
He is survived by his daughter Kathy Shea (Timothy), grandchildren Timothy Shea and Taylore Shea, brothers George Tkalcevic (Juliette), John Tkalcevic (Connie) and Michael Tkalcevic (Cathy), best friend Max Halsey (Linda) and many nieces and nephews.
