Roseann Smith Obituary

Roseann “Dolly” Smith (Kreig), 80, of Burgettstown, PA, passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2026, following complications of Alzheimer’s disease.

Born on December 29, 1945, in Washington, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late James and Lucy Kreig. Roseann was a proud graduate of Avella High School.

On July 1, 1967, she married David P. Smith, Sr., with whom she shared many loving years together before his passing in 2013.

Roseann devoted her life to caring for others. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, touching countless lives with her kindness and care. She retired from St. Clair Hospital at the age of 62 to spend more cherished time with her grandchildren, who meant the world to her.

She found joy in shopping trips with her best friend and cousin, Bonnie Prigg.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son, David P. Smith, Jr.; her brother, James Kreig; and her sister-in-law, Martha Kreig.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Michael Smith (Dee), Marla Bendick (Tim), and Jason Smith (Nicole). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to 16 grandchildren Demetreus (Amanda), Paula, Mareena, Marissa, Colten, Landon, Michael, Hailey, Faith, Levi, Brant, Carter, Madalyn (Tim Cider), Joshua, Lila, and Jayden and eight great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life for Dolly will be held at a later date.
