Samuel Robert Price

Samuel Robert (Bob) Price 82 of Prosperity died on Friday, July 17, 2020. He was born May 13, 1938, in Greene County, son of the late Samuel R. Price and Georgie L. Ealy Price. Samuel started his career working for W.T. Grant Company then worked for Mounts Equipment doing refrigeration repairs. He then joined the Army Reserves and was activated during the Cuban Missile Crisis where he reminded stateside. After returning from the Army he was employed by Sears Roebuck as a service technician doing mostly air conditioning and heating repair. He later retired after more than thirty years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed farming and raising beef cattle. He is preceded in death with his wife Genevieve Balsly Price, parents Samuel and Georgie Price, brother Larry Price, infant sister Sarah Leota Price, and step-sons John Longstreath and Kenneth McIlroy. surviving are two brothers Eddie W. Price (Vivian) and George R. Price (Kristy), along with two sisters Connie Moneta and Margie Price Barrett. A memorial service for Samuel is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
