Sharon L. (Walker) Cox

Sharon L. Walker Cox, 69, of West Alexander, PA, passed away on September 4, 2022. She was born on October 28, 1952, in Washington, PA, daughter of the late David L. and Stella Walker. 

On May 22, 1971, she married her husband of 51 years, Walter V. Cox. Sharon was a self-employed seamstress for several years.

Sharon was a 4-H leader and a member of the West Alexander Presbyterian Church. She was a kind and gentle mother, grandmother, sister, and wife. 

She is survived by her husband Walter V. Cox, daughter Tricia Cox Coons (Robert), son Chad Cox (Julie), grandchildren William Coons, Julia Coons, Melissa Coons, Lily McCombs, Tyler Cox, Garret Cox, and Brayden Cox, sisters Becky Carson (Paul), and Stacy Barton (Tredd), and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She is proceeded in death by her parents.

Sharon brought beauty into the world- not just by her talents for creating beautiful things but also by the beauty of her heart, soul, and love.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made payable to the Polycystic Kidney Foundation. 

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Claysville Cemetery.
