Stephen J. Bayless

Stephen J. Bayless, 73, of West Alexander, PA, passed away in his home on Saturday, February 1, 2025. 

He was born on October 19, 1951, in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late James William Bayless and Ruth Eileen Bardall Bayless. ]

He was a 1969 graduate of McGuffey High School. After graduating Stephen joined the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War.

Stephen retired from the Washington County Housing Authority and the Teamsters Local 585.

Stephen is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his son Ethan Bayless (Kim Jenkins) of Scenery Hill, PA, daughter Devon Greathouse (Chris) of Washington, PA, grandchildren Brayden and Rylee Greathouse, a brother Greg Bayless of West Alexander, PA, sisters Connie Rush of Avella, PA, and Deborah Keith (Doug) of Burgettstown, PA, and several nieces and nephews.

Stephen enjoyed hunting and the outdoors but he especially loved all things Harley Davidson.
