Theresa J. Lawson

Theresa J. Lawson, 94, of Ft. Myers, Florida, formerly of Langeloth, PA, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, in Florida.

She was born April 4, 1930, a daughter of Thomas and Carolina "Pauline" Filipponi Capogreco.

After raising her family, Theresa worked at Bert's Hot Dog Shop in Atlasburg, where she made many lasting friendships.

Theresa belonged to a Burgettstown Card Club for over 60 years. She enjoyed going to the casino, cooking, and baking. Her family was her life, and everything else came second.

On July 16, 1949, Theresa married Mark Lawson. They spent 65 loving years together before his passing on November 4, 2014.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Wojtowicz of Ft. Myers, FL, a son, Mark W. Lawson of Ft. Myers, FL, grandchildren, Marci (Bill) Michalski, George (Brittany) Wojtowicz, Heather (Matt) Miller, great-grandchildren, Marisa and Shannon Michalski, and Georgia Miller, brother, James (Mary) Capogreco of Parrish, FL.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Rocco, Sam, and Bruno Capogreco, and Rose Prudhomme.

At Theresa's request, all services will be private.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Mark in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Burgettstown, PA.
