Thomas Martin Cochran, passed away on September 19, 2023, at Alleghany General Hospital, where he chose a chance at life.
Tom was born on April 8, 1957, in Newark, New Jersey to Marilyn and Roscoe Cochran. In 1977 he joined the U.S. Navy where he proudly served on the USS Lexington. He was Honorably Discharged in 1981. In 1990, Tom met his wife Pamela Myers, and together they made their home in West Alexander, Pennsylvania. Tom was a very knowledgeable over-the-road truck driver, who when asked for directions would give them down to the mile marker. He was employed by Kaplan Trucking for 18 years. When Tom wasn’t on the road he could be found, playing John Madden Football on his Xbox, feeding the deer and birds, fixing things, watching the Fast and The Furious, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife and their blended family. His sons Richard Beckett (Charise), Thomas B. Cochran, Michael Slover, and Ronnie Cochran, his daughters, Kathy West, and Krystle Cochran. Eleven grandchildren, Damon Beckett, Arielle Lewis, Jason Lewis, Bryce Beckett, Tiana Cochran, Brandon West, Annabelle West, Braylen Beckett, RJ Slover, Jade Cochran, and Olivia Cochran. Also surviving are 4 brothers Raymond, Roscoe, Jamie and Dennis, and 3 sisters Caroline, Jeannie, and Robin and many nieces and nephews. He was met in Heaven by his parents, sister Denise, and brother Ronnie…and his dogs, Jessie, Bre, and Sadie.
