Timothy L. Mounts, Sr.

Timothy Lee Mounts Sr., 65, of Claysville, PA, passed away peacefully at home on May 26, 2025, due to natural causes.

He was born on June 1, 1959, in Washington, PA, a son of the late Ronald Dean Mounts and Helen Caroline Phillips. 

Tim was a 1977 graduate of McGuffey High School. 

On September 10, 1983, he married Mary Jane Mounts, with whom he shared a loving marriage and family.

Tim dedicated his career to working as maintenance for the State Police from February 1994 until his retirement in January 2019. He was a longtime member of the Central Assemblies of God and was known for his warm personality, good humor, and love of conversation.

He enjoyed mini-golf, playing cards, watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Mounts; his children, Timothy Lee Mounts Jr. (Kelly), Justine Mounts, and Megan Mounts; grandchildren, Hayley and Nikolai Mounts; siblings, Larry Mounts (Debbie), Ron Mounts (Karen); and sister-in-law, Charmane Mounts.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Frank Stanley Mounts.

Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 219 Main Street, Claysville, PA 15323. 724-663-7373 www.youngfhinc.com.
