Victoria Rose Sessa, 80, daughter of the late Ruth and Cecil Hancher was born on September 25, 1942, in Claysville, PA. She gained her eternal wings on April 18, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
In May 1974 she married Tony Sessa. They spent 13 wonderful years together before his passing in 1987.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother Vernon “Sonny” Hancher, and her sister Constance “Sue” King.
She is survived by her sister Ima Jean Sim, and her brother Daniel “Jerry” Hancher. Her daughters Marie Lammay, and Allison McCartney, her grandchildren Daniel Lammay, Michael Lammay, Eddie McCartney, and Nikki McCartney, and her pride and joy, her great-grandchild Deztini McCartney.
Vickie was a devoted member of the West Alexander First Christian Church and the Quilting Guild.
Vickie was in the first graduating class of McGuffey High School, having graduated in 1961.
She enjoyed quilting, sitting on her porch swing, and spending time with her loved ones.
She was a kind and loving woman, helping all in need. She was a rare person who knew how to show her love in a very practical way to meet the needs of those around her. She cherished every moment with her family and her friends, and will truly be missed by all who knew her.
