Wayne Howard Scott 10/10/1937 – 06/03/2024

Wayne Howard Scott, 86 of Burgettstown, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024, at home. He was born October 10, 1937, in Burgettstown, the son of the late Alice M Scott. Wayne was a 1955 graduate of Union High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a lifelong resident of Burgettstown, working at Climax Molybdenum as an electrician until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Nila M. Columbia, son Wayne K Scott (Cathy), brother Ralph Scott (Barbara), and sister Janet Delprato (Rich). Son-in-law Greg Oglietti, grandchildren Noah Oglietti, Ryan Oglietti, Tyler Scott, Hannah Scott (Zach), and Zachary Zollars (Tony), and a great-grandchild Ava Bertolotti. He is preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly Oglietti.

Wayne enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, watching his grandchildren grow, boating, attending car cruises in his 56 Chevy truck, and the occasional trip to the casino, or just relaxing on the back porch with a cold Mountain Dew.

Per the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
